Letter From the Manager

Hello Rodeo Fans~

We are so excited to start our 2018 True West Rodeo season and are so thrilled you have decided to join us!

True West Rodeo opened its doors in 2014 and is truly a community event. Our mission is to promote the sport of rodeo and preserve our western heritage with a positive family atmosphere.

We would like to thank our partnering businesses for choosing the True West Rodeo for your sponsorship. We recognize your dedication to preserving our western heritage. The success of our rodeo series is greatly enhanced by the cooperation of these companies and we encourage our fans to support the businesses included in this program booklet.

We also thank our friendly True West Rodeo staff and vendors who work hard to ensure your visit to True West Rodeo is a great entertainment experience.

While we try to provide you with the most current information, sometimes last-minute weather or events happen that are out of our control. The best form of communication will be on our Facebook page and website. If in doubt, please call before you haul and check sites regularly for updates.

Thank you for being a part of True West Rodeo!

True West Rodeo Takes Durango for a Ride

With its narrow gauge rails, carriage rides, chuckwagon suppers, speakeasies and cowboy gatherings, Durango undoubtedly embraces its Old West heritage. Perhaps, among the most accessible Western experiences for locals and tourists alike is the True West Rodeo, which features bucking broncos, bull riding, barrel racing and the like every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. until August 8. See more photos of the rodeo and read more at www.KatieMcCrainePhotos.com

Back for our Fifth Season

True West Rodeo is proud to come back to Durango for its fifth season! We’ve brought this event to Durango to show live Wild West Entertainment and to give back to the local community. All of the entertainment will be included in our ticket price which is $15 for Adults and $10 for children. Last year, TWR had over 4,000 spectators throughout 8 Rodeos and we plan to increase that number to over 5,000 with 9 Rodeos.

This year, TWR will have 9 rodeos with the last being the Championship Event. At the Championship, the overall winniers will recieve customized belt buckles for the event they competed in.

Community involvement is important to True West Rodeo. We intend to present a $200 check to a local non-profit before each rodeo. We will identify the groups to receive a donation from True West Rodeo soon.
